This collection is a depiction of the deep connection between all of being. Each piece links directly to the ones before and after it in the sequence of the collection. May we all stay in touch with how connected we really are.

How they Connect
Like a chain, every mandala links to the one before it and the one after it.
On the branches of the mandala tree sits the butterfleye.
The heads of the butterfleyes connect to the universe.
The eye beholds the universe and the crystals.
The crystals border the unified meditator.
The meditator holds the chain.
The chain contains the symbol of connection.
The symbols of connection surround the tree lungs.

Creation Process
This collection was created in a village in Dang, Nepal.
All pieces in this collection were created in the village. I typically worked at a desk, but when I felt especially connected to nature, I would create outside with the buffalo!
Above: a butterfly similar to the one I saw that inspired BUTTERFLEYE.
LUNGS OF THE EARTH is a product of inspiration from Earth Day. I used a piece of an especially beautiful tree that reminded me of the anatomy within lungs to design the central component. This entire mandala was created outside, surrounded by the nature of the village.
